Part-Time Remote Contract
Editorial Assistant
20 hours/week (10 am - 2 pm daily)
If you happen to live in the DMV area, strongly preferred!
Remote or onsite if you are local to Arlington
Pay: $50/hr
Financial Industry Experience a must!! Please be sure your portfolio includes applicable samples.
Editorial & Content Production
- Edit and proofread editorial content, ensuring logical structure and data accuracy. Polish language to align with our client’s style and for maximum clarity and impact.
- Create narrative biographies for team members and portfolio managers, highlighting their professional journey and expertise
- Create articles and promotional copy when needed
Process & Technology Management
- Manage the editorial calendar and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and maintain consistency
- Proactively identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence in the editorial process
- Stay abreast of the rapid pace of change in generative artificial intelligence and proactively identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence in the editorial process
- Stay current on editorial industry best practices and style guidelines, and maintain awareness of competitor thought-leadership strategies
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Gather source materials from analysts and portfolio managers, fact-check figures against primary research
- Liaise with designers, external vendors, and multimedia teams—draft video scripts and oversee web content updates
- Collaborate with members of the portfolio and analytics teams, client relations team, and investment team to ensure content meets stakeholder needs
- Anticipate stakeholder needs, communicate proactively, and uphold the intellectual rigor that defines our client’s thought leadership
- Lend expertise to discussions about advances in thought leadership and best practices in editorial
Operational Agility & Support
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and pivot priorities when urgent needs arise
- Help manage freelance writers by providing internal research support and assisting with access to internal folders

Skills needed for success
- Extreme attention to detail, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, willingness to learn CMSs and various internal systems that track holdings, store research etc.
