Marketing Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Type: 13-week contract (September 15, 2025 - December 15, 2025) - could start earlier than September 15th

Location: Arlington, VA - 3 days onsite

Compensation range: $50-60/hr

Our association client is looking for a marketing project manager with proven expertise in Microsoft Planner to support the planning and execution of 50+ marketing campaigns. This role will be instrumental in translating strategic marketing objectives into actional project plans, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and driving timely execution across teams.

There will be a Microsoft Planner Skills Assessment administered, timed, and monitored virtually by the staffing agency is required for candidates to interview. The interview is contingent upon scoring well on the Microsoft Planner Skills Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain comprehensive project plans in Microsoft Planner for all 2026 marketing campaigns
• Define tasks, timelines, dependencies, and resource assignments in collaboration with campaign owners and stakeholders
• Develop templates and best practices for planner usage across the marketing team
• Optimize project workflows and Planner configurations to improve efficiency
• Train and support team members in effective use of Microsoft Planner

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably in a marketing or agency environment
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Planner, including building and managing complex project boards
• Strong understanding of marketing campaign workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification is preferred
