McKinley Marketing Parters’ IT service management client seeks a digital marketing strategist for a direct-hire position in Hanover, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement improvements on digital strategy
  • Conduct research to learn about how we do business and what engages our target audiences, including synthesizing findings into actionable insights
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices across the digital marketing spectrum
  • Create, manage and execute digital campaigns (primarily email and paid social)
  • Work with stakeholders to develop detailed strategic project briefs for digital campaigns, dissemination schedules and proactively communicate updates
  • Be familiar with user personas and segments
  • Contribute to the development of branding and messaging strategies
  • Work closely with the broader team/agency of record to develop SEO/SEM and paid media strategies
  • Analyze and report on digital campaigns
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers, senior management and other departments (design, developers, etc.)
  • Recognize when practices and processes are inconsistent or no longer serve the team and recommend paths forward to improve the effectiveness
  • Promote a fun, supportive culture where ideas are welcomed

Requirements

  • Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years digital marketing experience
  • Firm grasp of emerging digital tools, specifically in social media
  • Solid knowledge of Web and Google Analytics
  • Hands-on digital campaign management in a fast-paced environment, with strong proficiency in paid social
  • Excellent quantitative data analysis skills to track performance metrics and make actionable recommendations
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, the creative process and brand development
  • Strong project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
     

Preferred Requirements

  • Analytics systems and tracking tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and social media reporting tools to monitor campaign performance and identify insights and recommendation
  • Salesforce/Marketing Cloud, Sprout or similar social software
  • Budget management
  • Managing a small team
  • Experience owning and supervising the agency relationship and prioritizing their focus/areas of support to maximize return on retainer
