JOB DESCRIPTION
McKinley Marketing Partners, a 24 Seven Company, is looking for a web & newsletter editor for our nonprofit client in DC. The Web & Newsletter Editor will contribute to the publication for all editorial content.
This is a long-term, ongoing (18+ months), W2, 40-hour-a-week contract. All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the publication in all aspects of editorial content (conceptualizing, planning, story development, assigning, editing, and publishing)
- Promote integration and collaboration with all departments to accomplish association goals and members’ need for information through the production and distribution of editorial content
- Direct editorial direction, voice, visual identity, and calendar for newsletter content
- Identifies, onboards, and manages freelance writers to produce newsletter content
- Top-edits, rewrites, creates headlines, decks, captions, and cover lines
- Develop strong relationships and collaborates with other departments to accomplish the organization goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or writing/editing fields
- 5+ years of running newsletters within the nonprofit space
- Keeps abreast of issues relevant to people 50-plus.
