McKinley Marketing Partners nonprofit client located in Irving, TX, is seeking a President & CEO to lead the organization.  The President & CEO manages and directs all operations, functions, and staff of the organization. Responsible for strategic planning and fulfillment of organization goals, public relations and marketing, all programs, sustaining member (corporations) recruitment, business development and fund-raising, development and management of budget and fiscal affairs, representation and leadership roles with the national council and Board and committee support.

Responsibilities

Plan for growth and expansion of organization; facilitate the setting of annual goals and prepare for Board approval; lead and direct program development in new areas.

  • Responsible for public relations and marketing of the organization and its objectives; establishing beneficial relationships with a variety of organizations
  • Responsible for oversight and management of all the organization’s programs and activities; ensures that staff/volunteer committees are functioning effectively; supporting goals
  • Recruit sustaining members (corporations) for purposes of business development, fund-raising, and event sponsorship; develop and maintain relationships
  • Facilitate all members participating in obtaining leads and new sustaining members by offering incentives; negotiate contracts with all sustaining members
  • Actively pursue and support all means within the mission of the organization to provide and increase business development opportunities for all individual members
  • Provide leadership and effective management of all staff members – mentoring, developing, encouraging and monitoring high levels of performance and teamwork
  • Manage fiscal affairs of the organization; develop and prepare budget for Board approval; manage to budget and to financial goals; manage income and expenses
  • Represent the organization to a national council and fulfill leadership roles as appropriate; support and participate in joint ventures and activities as appropriate
  • Support Board of Directors and a national council board as needed and requested; support all programs and committees in meeting and exceeding all goals; provide exemplary support services

Required Education and Background Experience

  • College degree
  • 10+ years experience in a position(s) with comparable responsibilities in nonprofit organization, staff, and volunteer staff management
  • Personal computer proficiency in primary standard office programs
  • Supportable business management, motivation and ensuring of staff’s productivity, organizational, time management, customer service, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Education and Background Experience

  • College degree in business or social services
  • 10+ years’ experience in a position(s) with comparable responsibilities in nonprofit organization, staff, and volunteer staff management; nonprofit fund-raising
  • Personal computer proficiency in primary standard office programs
  • Supportable business management, motivation and ensuring of staff’s productivity, public speaking, organizational, time management, customer service, interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in nonprofit professional services, volunteer-supported membership organization; small business development; women or minority business initiatives; building and maintaining relationships with large corporations and a variety of other organizations for mutual benefit; having run own business; working in procurement or supplier diversity in a large corporation; financial management and business acumen.
