Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Our international security and investigations client is looking for a contract to hire, event coordinator who will plan and execute the organization's engagement in industry events, webinars, conferences, customer and online events in the American and Canadian region. Through successful event stewardship, the coordinator’s efforts will increase global brand awareness, generate new sales opportunities for the company. The event coordinator will also coordinate the marketing needs of sales in the assigned territories, including tracking marketing requests, collaborating with members of the marketing department to develop assets, and execute post-event lead management.


  • Collaborate with area sales managers and other members of the marketing department to develop and execute a successful schedule of events and webinars to achieve lead generation and awareness building goals
  • Manage relationships with event organizers, vendors, and internal clients
  • Attend selected trade shows and events to provide on-site support of event activities, including exhibit set up and tear down, social events, and more
  • Become familiar with every event and ensure the organization optimizes results from each event
  • Seek and win opportunities to speak at industry events by submitting abstracts relevant to target audiences
  • Become a primary user of the event management platform to centralize and track all events and webinars
  • Monitor and report on results and recommend improvements for future activities
  • Ensure that lead data is captured and uploaded into the CRM system in a timely manner and that lead management activities are coordinated with sales
  • Manage the events budget, delivering on target and on time


  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in Marketing, Events, etc
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills; detail and results-oriented
  • An ability to be flexible, adaptable, and creative and to find “win-win” solutions to challenges when there are different viewpoints
  • A positive, optimistic, can-do attitude
  • Strong technical skills, specifically with Excel, Sharepoint, marketing automation and/or email tools, and CRMs (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Must be available to travel, including occasional weekend travel
