JOB DESCRIPTION

Our large nonprofit client is seeking a community engagement manager to drive community engagement via commenting on the content level for their website

This is a long-term (18+ months) W2 contract. This position can be fully remote. All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Drive community engagement via commenting on the content level for the company website
  • Work with editors and content creators to assess which content should include commenting and its duration (when to launch, redirect/move or retire)
  • Develop and curate commenting content that will spark conversations and enhance news and information offerings
  • Coordinate and schedule commenting events – Q&A, UGC, featured experts, trivia, etc. -- to attract new participants, drive engagement, and enhance news and information offerings
  • Monitor commenting activity and key metrics to analyze performance, provide regular reporting, identify topics of interest, engage or target specific users, and inform content planning
  • Research and monitor commenting trends and best practices to develop engaging content and events
  • Collaborate with content creators, producers, social and marketing teams to plan and provide timely, accurate and effective commenting content and events
  • Assist customer care team in commenting moderation as it relates to answering questions, providing responses, additional information and resources, and identifying potential infractions
  • Update and maintain commenting content calendar
  • Schedule and publish commenting content and events using the ViaFoura platform

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum two years of community management experience, preferably with experience managing commenting on content
  • Proficiency in using ViaFoura or another similar community engagement platform
