Bilingual Copyeditor

JOB DESCRIPTION

McKinley Marketing Partner's client is seeking a bilingual copyeditor to join their team on a long-term W2 contract. The copyeditor will be responsible for copyediting and proofreading editorial content to provide the highest quality-control standards for clarity and readability.

This is a long-term (18+ months) W2 contract. This position can be fully remote, but candidates must be able to work East Coast hours (9-5 pm EST). All McKinley roles include a competitive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Produce and edit content for websites, print publications, apps, video scripts, and more
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and other partners to ensure content aligns with the organization's priorities
• Coordinate, assign, monitor, and execute requests for copyediting from multiple internal teams
• Assists with the onboarding and training of new copyeditors
• Provide input and feedback for developing content management systems and workflows
• Manage the electronic AP Stylebook
• Coordinate subscriptions and customize entries to the organization's house-style
• Stay current on media trends and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum five years of copyediting experience
• Experience using Adobe InCopy and Adobe Acrobat Reader
• Experience using the AP Stylebook
• Fluency in both English and Spanish
