Do you have experience writing in a legal or professional services environment? Then we have a great communications opportunity for you! Our global law firm client is looking for a Senior Internal Communications Coordinator to join their team. You will work closely with the global CFO/COO, the Internal Communications Director and the leaders of business services functions to raise the internal profile of operations through integrated marketing communications. The position can sit in the DC, NY or Louisville office. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Draft and compile global internal communications and announcements for office of global CFO/COO
  • Manage multiple, complex content streams for regular internal communications
  • Provide sound counsel and substantive edits to enhance firm-facing communications
  • Build and development the Business Services intranet site including managing the content
  • Enhance existing processes and internal publications with collaboration across the Sr. Director’s team
  • Build relationships across the firm, providing insightful feedback to the CFO/COO, Sr. Director’s and Marketing team on communication issues, opportunities and ways to improve understanding and engagement on strategic priorities
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new types of communications and platforms that support operations/business services goals and principles
  • Support major integrated, internal initiatives through development and execution of communications plans
  • Work closely with marketing department and Sr. Director’s on feedback and approvals for a variety of communications
  • Suggest new ways to incorporate interactive, video, and social media platforms into regular internal communications vehicles

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or other applicable subjects
  • 3+ years experience in corporate communications
  • Law firm or professional services required
  • Superior written communication and organizational skills
  • Independently able to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects
  • Takes a proactive approach to project management, utilizing strategy, planning, and execution skills in collaboration with team
  • Practical understanding of the issues, strategies and tactics involved in internal communications
  • Understanding of legal and business concepts
  • Experience in writing internal communications in a complex environment
  • Ability to communicate in a way that supports business priorities
