McKinley Marketing Partners’ large non-profit client in DC is seeking a Marketing Project Manager for a long-term (12 months+) contract. The Marketing Project Manager will manage the intake process for new email campaigns. This includes gathering requirements, scheduling intake meetings with email vendor, Exact Target, and providing ongoing project updates to key stakeholders and business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end implementation of assigned projects, both small and large in scale
  • Act as a liaison with business stakeholders, ITS, digital and external vendors on assigned projects
  • Leverage formal project management best practices (in documentation and meetings) to deliver the right solutions on time and within budget
  • Ensure that the technology on the backend supports email objectives
  • Assist in the development and preparation of training documentation and materials
  • Develop and Execute communication plans, including delivery of presentations
  • Gather and organize functional business requirements and work closely with solution teams and vendors to translate requirements into actionable results
  • Conduct marketing process analysis, design and implementation
  • Manage intake and tech review weekly meetings: from setting up meeting agenda to taking notes during meeting and providing input on solutions and tech review documents
  • Help business units write up project technical requirements to place in intake form.
  • Work with key stake holder and business units on project status and sharing ongoing project updates
  • Leverage formal project management best practices (documentation and meetings)
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, ITS, Digital, IMAX, Data Integrity and external vendor on assigned projects
  • Work directly with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • On platform issues
    • Automation errors
    • Improvements
  • Manage weekly project dashboard and provide weekly updates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or applicable areas of study
  • 5-8+ years of project management experience 
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience setting up and implementing business processes
  • Demonstrated ability conceiving and successfully leading the completion of complex technology and operations related projects on time and within budget
  • Previous employment in a marketing division or marketing technology vendor is helpful but not necessary 
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall Methodologies is helpful
  • Experience with Direct Response Marketing and/or Integrated Marketing is a plus
