McKinley Marketing Partners’ oil and gas client is looking for a Marketing Communications Advisor for a long-term project (6-9 months, possibly longer). In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives.

Position Overview

  • Acts as the brand steward with internal global clients and brand managers to understand program/product goals and objectives for the brand.
  • Define and recommend marketing communications programs and success metrics across business sectors
  • Ensure business line coordination with insights group to drive marketing communications planning initiatives
  • Facilitate briefing process between communication agencies and business unit for all projects and enforces the established brand guidelines
  • Oversees all creative development and approval process for all relevant communication materials
  • Contribute to marketing team and establish expected project deliverables and timelines
  • Steward marketing communications budget in line with agreed upon scopes of work (SOW)
  • Manage business internet site, content management, and user experience improvement initiatives alongside digital team
  • Manage relationships with communications and media agencies 
  • Develop external communication strategy to support our global product brands

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business with a focus on marketing management preferred
  • Seven or more years of experience in B2B marketing and related disciplines
  • Strong experience in leading integrated communication activities and helping to develop B2B marketing plans and strategies, driving customer insights into business recommendations
  • Experience in delivering insights to business partners as well as strong general knowledge of marketing principles used for growing branded businesses
  • Experience with B2B marketing plans within global organizations
  • Detailed knowledge of marketing strategies, tactics, tools, and processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with ability to guide cross functional teams
  • Project management and coordination skills, leveraging organization savvy and enterprise views
  • Exemplary written and verbal communications and keen attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Work from home option, must be able to attend on-site meetings and reside in the Houston area
