Are you a Market Research professional in the medical industry? Then, we have an awesome direct hire opportunity for you! Our Owings Mill’s client is looking for a Market Research Analyst to join their Strategic Business Development group. The Market Research Analyst will implement research initiatives to address critical business issues, assess and communicate strategic implications of primary research efforts, as well as oversee project teams of primary market research consultants and support.

Our client is specifically looking for a candidate with a background in healthcare or public health. 


  • With oversight from the Market Research Manager, implement and manage high quality, impactful qualitative and quantitative primary market research studies
  • Select appropriate research mythologies, develop analysis plans and design questionnaires
  • Select outside vendors that will be responsible for work/data collection
  • Manage internal processes to ensure legal, compliance, risk, and security
  • Conduct detailed analyses (using SPSS, Excel, Odin, and other relevant software) and produce reports and presentations summarizing the findings of the analyses
  • With guidance from the Manager, present research findings companywide via written reports and oral presentations to staff
  • Assess the strategic and tactical implications of each set of findings and make recommendations for corrective actions to management
  • With supervision, provide oversight of an external project team of consultants from various companies who are used to collect data for primary research projects
  • Define research objectives, work jointly to resolve any unforeseen problems and to assist in managing multiple priorities


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics or other quantitative/analytical discipline is required
  • 1+ years of relevant professional market research experience
  • Experience with survey research or primary research is strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex issues and findings in writing and orally to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytic, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in working with data and conducting analyses using statistical packages, databases, and spreadsheets
